How can you ask me to see?
When all you do is hide?
How can you ask me to be calm?
When all you do is deny?
You tell me not to believe,
That all I read is fact.
When all you read is the media’s,
Slanderous, slating, spiel.
‘Stop cramming it down my throat’.
What a heartless defence,
For ignorance and privilege.
You say you’re sick of offense,
Of which you have never faced.
Not in in the same way,
That they nor I have braved.
How can you ask me to stop?
Fighting for hate to end?
