A mournful pause
A noble cause
A memory
A memory
A lost emotion A life's devotion A memory Our memories
And when it's time to leave It always seems too soon But sometimes I can feel you Here with me in the room
And if you feel a chill in the air You turn around You sense someone's there Moves so fast Un ange passe
When all the talking finally stops And time stands still on all the clocks It can’t last Un ange passe
A love forsaken A new path taken A world apart A broken heart
A lost romance No second chance A world apart Our broken hearts
But when they pass by There is nothing for you to fear Their sole intention is To let you know that love is near
And if you feel a chill in the air You turn around You sense someone's there Moves so fast Un ange passe
When all the talking finally stops
And time stands still on all the clocks
It can’t last
Un ange passe
(NOTE - in case you are interested - the origin of the phrase is as follows -
The French expression un ange passe is used to describe a sudden, unexpected break in conversation due to some kind of awkwardness or embarrassment. The question is, is the angel the cause or the effect of the silence? On the one hand, maybe the fact that an angel is passing is what causes the conversation to dry up. On the other, it could mean that the angel is aware of the awkwardness and is passing in order to try to smooth it over.)
